My name is William Inder. I’m an artist from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I started this website to display some of my portraits and designs and sell some of my extra designs from my patreon. I primarily call myself a portrait artist but I make a bit of everything. I’m an acrylic artist, miniature painter, illustrator, sculptor, carpenter, welder, fabricator, writer, poet. I have worked with various artists, musicians and organizations. I become incredibly engaged when someone tells me about a project or vision they have and utilizing all of my skills to make it a reality.

This latest printing project began in earnest around August and has taken me many months of researching, experimenting and making an absolute mess. Please check out my store and my gallery. Buy something. I began this project as a means of funding a massive alla prima portrait project I started to capture the visages and lives of various creators in the Tulsa area. I have painted approximately 40 people and I need frames. I’d like to have 60 for the show.

paper prints

I started by digitizing illustrations in my journals but quickly moved to a Wacom Tablet. I’ve had so many amzing local digital artists point me in the right direction

I create my prints with a hand made screen press. I use photoreactive emmulsions to create negatives onto sythetic mesh stretched around a wooden or aulluminum frame. It’s a messy but satisfying experience.

I mix my own inks. I use a blend of acrylic printing inks and paints to create a color for each print. I make as many prints as i am able with the mixture and start a new series so the number of prints available are limited. I am currently hand-cutting each print.

Finished prints are places in a plastic sleeve and shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer. I also include a trifold card with a unique illustration on the outside. The inside contains information on what inspired the design or some clues into my mindset when i created it.

My paper designs are going to tell a story. I plan to have a compendium finished with twelve prints and corresponding story pages a year from now ( October 2026).
